PART 2 · LESSON 17 OF 30 · 30 MINUTES
I'm Not Sure That's True
In Emma's adult class, tonight's debate is in English. Is life better in the city or in the country? At the break, the bank manager and Monsieur Faure carry it on in French, and they can't agree. Say what you're for, say you're sure or not sure that something is true, with the special form of the verb, and weigh up both sides.

THE STORY
It's Wednesday the thirteenth of October, and tonight, in Emma's adult class, the debate is in English. Is life better in the city, or in the country? At the break, in the little kitchen at the back, the bank manager and Monsieur Faure carry on in French, and nobody can stop them. At nine, Hugo is waiting at the door. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
