PART 1 · LESSON 5 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
Across the Landing
Emma and her parents go across the landing for a drink with Monsieur and Madame Petit. Madame Petit, whom they have never met, has something to tell them about their daughter, and Monsieur Petit tells the story of the cold shower, again. Say there's something someone should know and that you'd like to see someone again before they leave, with two more verbs that take the special form, and tell a funny story about a neighbour.

THE STORY
It's Wednesday the fourth of August, seven in the evening. Emma and her parents climb to the third floor of her building, and knock on the door across the landing from hers. Monsieur Petit has invited them for a drink, and tonight, at last, they meet Madame Petit. She has something to tell them about their daughter, and her husband has a story he tells everyone. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
