PART 1 · LESSON 3 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES

What Do You Think of It?

For Emma's birthday, Hugo takes her and her parents to a bouchon, a little traditional Lyon restaurant. Her father orders the house speciality without knowing what it is, and her mother asks Hugo to say tu, which he can't. Ask people what they think, give your opinion, and say what you don't think, with the special form of the verb after it.

THE STORY

It's Monday the second of August, eight in the evening, Emma's birthday. Hugo has booked a table, and he still won't say where. He leads Emma and her parents through the narrow streets of Old Lyon to a little restaurant with red and white checked tablecloths. Emma's father hasn't really slept since Chicago, but he wants to taste everything. And Emma's mother wants Hugo to say tu. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
