PART 1 · LESSON 9 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
I'd Like You to Be Closer
On her parents' last night in Paris, Emma walks along the canal with her mother, to the place where Chloe once asked her to come to Lyon. Her mother says what she wishes and what she understands, and tells Emma a dream of her own. Say what you'd like someone else to do or be, and that you understand what someone wants, with the special form of the verb after both.

THE STORY
It's Wednesday the eleventh of August, Emma's parents' last night in Paris. Her father stays at the hotel with a suitcase that won't close, and Emma and her mother walk along the canal, to the place where Chloe once asked Emma to come to Lyon. There, her mother says what she has come to say, and tells a secret of her own. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
