Part Three begins. Monday the eleventh of September, five days before the wedding, Daniel's parents and his sister Emily land in Rio, and Daniel translates in both directions. Welcome someone at the airport, ask how the flight was, pass on what someone said or wants to know, and say what someone would do "if he knew how to speak Portuguese".

L’HISTOIRE
Monday the eleventh of September, seven in the morning, arrivals at Rio's international airport, five days before the wedding. Daniel and Bia have been waiting since six. Through the sliding doors come Susan, with a Portuguese phrasebook in her hand, Tom, Daniel's father, with three suitcases, and Emily, his sister, on her first trip to Brazil, already taking off her jacket. Half an hour later, in the car, there's news of a passport and a bag of cheese bread. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
