L’HISTOIRE
Tuesday, the twelfth of December, twenty twenty-eight. Eleven in the morning, Kyoto station, a hall of glass and steel with a staircase as wide as a street, and eight Canadians off the coach from Osaka, with lunch upstairs and the Tsukiya at three as the plan. Seven of them, counted twice. Five past eleven, the station office by the central gate. Noon, the restaurants upstairs. Three o'clock, a lane by the Kamo river and the doorway of a six-room inn. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
