PART 2 · LESSON 12 OF 30 · 32 MINUTES
Business Cards
At two o'clock on the first of February, Mister Fujita, the manager of Tsubame Travel's Tokyo office, comes out to meet Ben. He's about fifty, from Osaka, and very polite, until he laughs. In a meeting room they exchange business cards with both hands and a bow, Ben is given the seat furthest from the door, and Mister Fujita sets out the plan for the classes. Learn to receive a card (choudai itashimasu), to ask humbly to look at something (haiken shite mo yoroshii deshou ka), and to raise the other side while you lower your own.
