PART 1 · LESSON 4 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
The Year-End Party
Sakura English has its year-end party at an izakaya near Ueno. Mister Kimura asks Ben, as head teacher, to lead the toast, and then has a few words of his own first. Miss Aoki makes Mike sing, everyone makes Ben drink, and at midnight Yui is still up. Learn the short made-to form, for what you were made to do (utawasareta, nomasareta, kikasareta), and how to offer, humbly, to lead the toast (torasete itadakimasu).
