PART 3 · LESSON 30 OF 30 · 32 MINUTES
Happy New Year, Good Health!
Saturday the first of January 2028, the last lesson of this level. At the top of the great stairs of Marseille's station, Martine and Gerard say goodbye, and on the train home Emma calls Chloe with her news. In the evening, Chicago hears it too. Wish someone a happy New Year and good health, say I've got big news, about time, neither my place nor his, I'll come and get you at the station and I have to break the news to them, and look back over five months of French.

THE STORY
Saturday the first of January 2028, the first day of the year and the last day in Marseille. At ten, at the top of the great stairs of Saint-Charles station, Martine is in her red coat and Gerard has carried the bag all the way up. At half past eleven, the train runs north along the Rhone, the fields of Provence slide past the window, and Emma has her phone in her hand, because Chloe doesn't know yet. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
