PARTIE 1 · LEÇON 1 SUR 30 · 40 MINUTES Gratuit
We've Been Waking Up Every Three Hours
The first lesson of the Advanced stage. Three in the morning, four weeks after Alice was born, and she's hungry again. Whose turn is it, really? A message arrives from the seventh floor, and at breakfast Susan and Tom, on their last full day in Rio, take one look at Daniel and Bia. Say what has kept happening lately, "we've been waking up every three hours", "I've been sleeping really badly", and tell it apart from what happened once and what used to happen.

L’HISTOIRE
Wednesday the second of January, twenty thirty, three in the morning, in the flat in Botafogo. Alice is four weeks old, and hungry again. Daniel is walking her up and down the living room, talking to her softly, in English. Bia comes out of the bedroom, half asleep, to tell him whose turn it really is. Then his phone lights up with a message from the seventh floor, where Dona Marta never sleeps. At nine, Susan and Tom walk over from their hotel for their last full day in Rio, and Susan takes one look at their faces. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
