PART 3 · LESSON 28 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
I'd Never Seen My Father Dance
The party under the marquee. The bride and groom cut the cake, the forro trio plays, Bia throws the bouquet, and Daniel sees something he has never seen before. Cut the cake and say who gets the first piece, say what you'd never seen or done before that night, ask someone to dance, follow the steps, and join a square dance.

THE STORY
Saturday, ten at night. The speeches are over, and the bride and groom cut the cake. Then Junior, Tiao's nephew, picks up his accordion. His two friends have a drum and a triangle. The first notes go out across the dark valley, and the floor of the marquee starts to shake. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
