PART 3 · LESSON 26 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
Come What May
The ceremony in the old chapel. The bell rings for the bride, Bia comes in on her father's arm, and Daniel reads the vows he wrote himself, in Portuguese. Make promises in your own words, "I promise to be your partner", "I promise to keep learning", "come what may", "even when you step on my foot", give a ring "as a sign of my love", and shout "long live the bride and groom".

THE STORY
Saturday, five o'clock. The old chapel is white again, with its blue door, full of flowers, and too small for everyone, so the doors are open and half the guests are standing on the grass outside. Grandpa Zeca rings the bell for the bride, and Bia comes in on her father's arm. Antonio cries, as promised. Now the priest turns to Daniel. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
