PART 3 · LESSON 22 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
Both You and Grandma
Nineteen days later, on Mother's Day, Daniel and Bia tell the families, on a video call to the farm in Minas at lunchtime, and to Chicago that evening. Say "both… and", break big news, react to it, say when a baby is due, and find out what Grandma Nena dreamed.

THE STORY
Sunday the thirteenth of May, Mother's Day, at one o'clock. At the farm in Minas, Bia's mother and grandparents are round the long table on the veranda, her father is at the barbecue, and her mother has propped her phone against the sugar bowl. On the screen, Daniel and Bia are on the sofa in Botafogo, with Pipoca between them, and they haven't stopped smiling since the call started. That evening, it's Chicago's turn. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
