THE STORY
Sunday the ninth of September, in the flat in Botafogo. Bia is six months pregnant, on the sofa by the window, with her feet up and Sugarloaf Mountain outside. Daniel has a list of names on his phone, ninety-four of them, and Bia has crossed out ninety-one. Pipoca is asleep under the table. That evening, they call the farm in Minas, and then Chicago. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
