PART 1 · LESSON 2 OF 30 · 32 MINUTES Free
I Thought As Much
Monday the third of January 2028, the second lesson of this level. At noon, Emma crosses the landing with an Epiphany cake and breaks her news to the Petits. Monsieur Petit looks out of the window for a long time, blames the dust, asks whether there's a lift at least, and promises his toolbox. At five, Madame Garnier thought as much, and wants the letter once the lease is signed. At eight, the agency calls back, the flat with the lift is already let, and two visits are set for Saturday at two. Say I thought as much and have you told her about it, with the little word for of it, and I'm going there and we'll be there, with the little word for there.
