It's Hard to Believe

Saturday the seventh of December, Alice's first birthday party in the party room downstairs. Dona Marta's cake has a brown dog with one white ear on it, Alice says his name, and the neighbour who hears everything is the last to know. Mauro from the ninth floor arrives with a complaint and a drum, Susan wins Christmas at last, Tom has retired, and Grandpa Zecka's bell has a new rule. In the middle of the song, Fernanda calls, Sao Paulo has approved the office, and they want Daniel to run it. Review the whole level, and say "a year. It's hard to believe".

L’HISTOIRE

Saturday the seventh of December, twenty thirty, four in the afternoon, the party room on the ground floor of the building in Botafogo, where the residents' meeting was in June. Balloons, a table of chocolate sweets, both families, the godparents, the neighbours, and Pipoca under the table. Alice turned one on Wednesday, the day Susan and Tom landed, and Bia's parents drove down yesterday. Dona Marta comes out of the lift with the cake. At five, Susan brings up Christmas, and in the middle of the birthday song, Daniel's phone rings. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
