PART 1 · LESSON 7 OF 30 · 31 MINUTES
Pass It to Me
Saturday the fifth of February 2028, the seventh lesson of this level. Two in the afternoon, Emma's studio, twenty flat boxes from the hospital and a roll of tape. Two and a half years of a twenty-five-square-metre life go into boxes with Chloe, the blue dress from the wedding, Hugo's scarf, the French book from Paris, the postcards, and a phone that keeps buzzing in Chloe's pocket. Say can you pass it to me, with to me and it before the verb, and give it to me, with the little words after the order.

THE STORY
Saturday the fifth of February 2028, two in the afternoon, Emma's studio. On the table, Hugo's scarf and an empty cup. The door code, three floors on foot, and Chloe at the door with a stack of flat boxes, out of breath. Two and a half years go into boxes, the cupboard first, then the shelf over the desk, and in Chloe's pocket a phone buzzes, again. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
