The Empty Car Park

Sunday the ninth of April 2028, the seventeenth lesson of this level. Three in the afternoon, the car park of the supermarket on the way out of the city, closed on Sundays, and Sylvie's old blue car, brought down by Chloe. Hugo as the instructor, clutch, first gear, and gently, both hands on the wheel, a stall, a lamp post that comes too close, and their second argument, the first was in March 2027. Silence in the car home, Chloe at the wheel, and peace on the balcony at seven, with a promise. Say you were going to hit the lamp post, with the was form of the verb to go, I had just got it, with I was coming from, and you're not my instructor.

THE STORY

Emma at the wheel, Hugo beside her as the instructor, a stall, a lamp post that comes too close, and their second argument. Silence in the car home, and peace on the balcony at seven, with a promise.
