Dima brings Sam to a basement jazz club off the Arbat in the empty afternoon, and Arkady, the owner, asks whether he wants to play on Friday: he does, very much, standards and one piece of his own, which they all want to hear.

THE STORY

A basement jazz club in a side street off the Arbat, an empty afternoon, a piano on the small stage. Arkady, the owner, and Sam have just met and say the polite you; Dima and Sam are friends.
