THE STORY

The platform at Kazansky station at eleven at night, then compartment three of carriage seven on the train to Kazan: Dima, Sam and Katya find their places, the train moves, and the carriage attendant comes round with tea. Dima, Katya and Sam are friends and say the friendly you; everyone is polite with the carriage attendant.
