PART 2 · LESSON 18 OF 30 · 31 MINUTES
I Didn't See It
Thursday the twentieth of April 2028, the eighteenth lesson of this level. Two in the afternoon, the driving test. The examiner, a woman of about fifty who says almost nothing, the instructor in the back seat, who says nothing at all, twenty good minutes, then the crossroads of March on the slopes, a car from the right, and Emma, looking left, who doesn't stop. The examiner's foot on the brake, the end of June for the next slot, and the day told twice that evening, to Hugo on the sofa and to Chloe on the phone. Say I was at the crossroads when a car came from the right, with the was form and the past form, and I didn't see it, with the e you don't hear.

THE STORY
Thursday the twentieth of April 2028, two in the afternoon, a quiet car park behind the test centre on the plateau. The little white car of the driving school, Emma at the wheel, the instructor in the back seat for once, and the examiner, a folder under her arm. Twenty good minutes, the quays, a roundabout, the tram, then the slopes, the crossroads of March, a car from the right, and the examiner's foot on the brake. The next slot at the end of June, and the day told to Hugo at seven, on the sofa. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
