PART 1 · LESSON 7 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
No Hands in the Photo
The Federal Police, for Alice's Brazilian passport. Both parents have to be there, copies aren't accepted, and the photo of a two-month-old needs her eyes open, a white background and nobody's hands in it. Dona Marta keeps her word and walks Pipoca, and on Saturday it will be five years since Daniel came to stay. Read and say the rules on the wall, "copies aren't accepted", "both parents are required", and say what isn't done in your house.

THE STORY
Wednesday the sixth of February, twenty thirty. At eight, Dona Marta comes up from the seventh floor to take Pipoca for a walk, as she promised. At half past nine, Daniel and Bia are at the Federal Police with Alice, for her Brazilian passport. There's a sign on every wall, the officer at the counter knows every rule, and the photo of a two-month-old has to have her eyes open, a white background, and nobody's hands in it. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
