PART 2 · LESSON 20 OF 30 · 30 MINUTES
I Nearly Forgot My Own Birthday
The last lesson of Part Two. Bia is home from Sao Paulo, and the friends give Daniel a late lunch for his thirty-ninth birthday, at Rafael's cafe on Sol Street. Jorge, the doorman of the building, looks in, and an email from Fernanda books the first trip to the Northeast, which Luana knew nothing about. Say "I very nearly forgot my own birthday", wish someone a happy belated birthday, and go back over Part Two, from the daycares to Dona Marta's key.

THE STORY
Saturday the twentieth of July, twenty thirty. Bia came home from Sao Paulo last night, and the flowers Daniel took to the airport are on the kitchen table. At one o'clock, the friends meet at Rafael's cafe on Sol Street, for Daniel's birthday, ten days late. Then Daniel's phone buzzes, with an email from Fernanda, and Luana hears something nobody had told her. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
