PART 3 · LESSON 26 OF 30 · 33 MINUTES
That's Not What I Meant
Saturday night, Alice asleep and Pipoca on the sofa. Daniel has good news from Fernanda, and the way he got it starts the conversation he and Bia have been putting off since Father's Day. Argue without wounding, "that's not what I meant", "then what did you mean?", "I'm not blaming you", "I just don't want to do this alone", ask "are we fighting?", and make up, "I should have asked", "shall we make up?", with a list on the fridge of who does what, in writing.

At nine, in the living room, he has news he has kept since Tuesday. At half past nine, the sofa. And at ten, at the window, the two of them make up, and make a list. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
