Ben's desk, Mr. Kudo's first email waiting for a check: he asks whether he may still ask Ms. Nishimura, Ben gives him the shape of a request, it would help me if you could look at it, left open on but, Mr. Kudo says it to her, and she finds OK on the second line.

THE STORY

Ben's desk in the international department, Mr. Kudo's first email on his screen and Ms. Nishimura on the phone at the next desk. Ben and Ms. Nishimura are polite with Mr. Kudo; he is polite, and humble when he asks.
