PART 3 · LESSON 22 OF 30 · 32 MINUTES
Here, Everything Takes Time
Tuesday the ninth of September, twenty thirty-one, the second day at the factory in Manaus. At nine, the director comes down to hear Daniel with six managers, and Daniel has no notes, only the signposts of the year and the river he saw on Sunday. The director says two words and leaves, and the manager explains what they meant, and how her city works. At seven in the evening in Rio, his wife tells his mother about her day, and at nine she gives her husband a short answer. Say "as you can see, I haven't brought any paper", "they liked it to the point of asking for another meeting", "here, everything takes time", "unless you know someone" and "I was about to go to sleep".
