PART 2 · LESSON 13 OF 30 · 30 MINUTES
The invitation that leaves no doubt
Grace understood the evening to be a mandatory English class, and Ana learns to test how the invitation is being repeated, clear up a requirement that doesn't exist, and describe what the person can expect. Say: so it's an English class, I'll tell people to bring a notebook; wait, let me hear how you'd describe it; an evening where neighbors practice English with a teacher; that's not it, and it's my fault, try this: you don't need to speak English to participate; so what do people do there; what you can expect is two stories, coffee, and a table where you chat with five neighbors; in which language; in yours; no notebook then; no notebook, repeat it back to me one more time.
