PART 2 · LESSON 17 OF 30 · 30 MINUTES

The neighborhood then and now

The circle takes place during a walk through the square, and Grace shares what used to be there, and Ana learns to contrast past and present and ask how a change affected something. Say this square used to be a parking lot, when did that change, nineteen ninety-one we planted the first tree ourselves, it used to be cars whereas now it's trees and benches, and grandmothers look around, how has that affected the bakery, people sit here with Rosa's bread instead of taking it home, so the square changed what people do with bread, the square changed everything the bread was already good, Rosa will want that in writing.
