PART 2 · LESSON 14 OF 30 · 30 MINUTES

Guiding those who will welcome the public

In volunteer training, Ana rehearses with Pat and Luis how to welcome anyone who arrives lost, and learns to link a situation to a possible response and check whether the guidance was understood using a new case. Say if someone asks where to sit you can take them to a table with an empty chair, any table, any table with a name tag in their language, and if they say they don't know which activity to choose, you can say that the first story starts in ten minutes and nobody needs to choose yet, that's easy, how would you handle it if someone came in crying, I would ask if they want a quiet corner or company, and I'd call Ana, both are right.
