PART 3 · LESSON 26 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
It's Our Number
On Saturday, December 22nd, the day of the Christmas lottery draw, the whole bar is watching the television when the children sing the bar's number - not the big prize, but the fourth, four thousand euros a share. Speak the language of winning a little - be quiet, they've sung our number, are you sure it's ours, how much does each of us get, a thousand for every euro played, and I never play, on the house, your money back as always, what matters is health, which is the right thing, no paper no money - and share it out.

THE STORY
It's Saturday, December 22nd, 2029, half past twelve, in Manolo's bar. Since nine this morning, the television has been on, and children from a school in Madrid have been singing numbers and prizes in a high, steady chant. The bar is full. Encarna has her own ticket in her handbag, and Sarah, who is off today, has her share in her pocket. Manolo is drying the same glass for the tenth time. Suddenly, he drops the cloth. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
