The bathhouse

A Saturday morning at the bathhouse in Mangwon with Mr. Kim and Min-jun: in you go and ah refreshing, Mr. Kim this is boiling, in here that's what refreshing means, lie face down and I'll scrub your back, with that glove and that's sandpaper, look at this and a year of dirt, after that into the cold pool and then banana milk, and banana milk is the law and you can't not drink it.

THE STORY

The men's floor of the bathhouse in Mangwon on a Saturday morning, steam, tiles and a plastic bottle of banana milk; Mr. Kim and Min-jun speak casually to Eli, the scrub man bluntly to everyone, and Eli respectfully to Mr. Kim and politely to the scrub man.
