🇪🇸 Spanish · Fluency Level 3

PART 2 · LESSON 17 OF 30 · 31 MINUTES

In Plain Spanish

It's Saturday, April 6th, in Lucia and Pablo's flat. Lucia is thirty weeks pregnant, and at Thursday's antenatal class, the video made Pablo faint. Now he has a list of words he doesn't understand, and Sarah puts each one in plain Spanish. Then Encarna arrives, with advice from her mother's day. Ask for plain words and give them - tell me in plain Spanish - explain a birth simply - it opens little by little, when you get to ten you push, you ask for it and they give it to you - promise with if - if I'm on duty, I'll look after you myself, and if not, I'll come anyway - and turn down an old wives' tale, kindly.

THE STORY

It's Saturday, April 6th, 2030, five in the afternoon, in Lucia and Pablo's flat. Lucia is thirty weeks pregnant, and a midwife herself. On Thursday, at the antenatal class, they showed a video of a birth, and Pablo fainted. Now he has a list of words he doesn't understand, and Sarah puts each one in plain Spanish. Lucia has something to ask her. At six, Encarna arrives, with advice from her mother's day. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
