PART 3 · LESSON 23 OF 30 · 31 MINUTES
The Best of Seville
Saturday morning at Santa Justa station. Nerea goes home to Bilbao, and Rosario has come up from Cadiz to see off her third generation. Alvaro brings a Betis scarf for a father who is Athletic, Nerea remembers her first birth, and refuses to say goodbye for good. Then the train is gone, and Rosario says where she'll be on Monday. Tell someone they didn't have to come - you didn't have to come, you're the third generation - joke about a present - he won't be seen dead in it, that way he'll remember me - remember a first day together - as if it were yesterday, you don't need anyone beside you any more - say what you're taking with you - what are you taking from Seville, I'm taking the best of Seville with me - ask for a promise - promise me you'll come and see me, give your mother a hug from me - and refuse a final goodbye - not bye, see you later.

THE STORY
It's Saturday, May 25th, 2030, nine in the morning, on the platform at Santa Justa station in Seville. Nerea's train to Madrid leaves in twenty minutes, and from Madrid, another to Bilbao, where her post as a midwife starts on Monday. Rosario has come up from Cadiz on the first train, Alvaro has a present for Nerea's father in a paper bag, and Sarah, who stood beside Nerea at her first birth in 2028, stands beside her one last time. At half past nine, the train is gone, and Rosario and Sarah walk out of the station. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
