THE STORY

Grandma's wooden house on stilts in her village an hour from Khon Kaen, five in the morning in December, twelve degrees and mist on the field behind the house: Grandma, Tee and Jack. Grandma speaks plainly; Jack keeps the polite word with her; Tee and Jack talk as friends.
