THE STORY
The reading circle at the public library in Khlong San on a Tuesday evening, Teacher Somsak at its head and Khun Wan at the desk: Jack says the polite word to both and calls them Teacher Somsak and Khun Wan; Teacher Somsak speaks to Jack plainly, as a teacher to a pupil; Khun Wan says the woman's polite word.
